My first big collaboration with my best friend Senne Willems (Rataplan Media). He wrote and directed a story that he resonated with on a personal level and was drawn from real life experiences. So my job as the cinematographer was to craft visuals that were as close to his vision as possible, using almost only natural lighting because of the limited space & crew. This project was a Rataplan Media production, in collaboration with FiLi Studios, Thomas More Hogeschool & Zoomedia.

Rita, an elderly woman with Alzheimer’s living in care home called "Vogelzang", reconnects with her forgotten past through daily piano music played by a young nurse, Fien. Their growing bond awakens Rita’s identity as a once-famous pianist, until a heartfelt revelation changes everything forever.
